Hyperhidrosis: What is it & why does it occur?
Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating. The sweating can occur from the underarms back, scalp or hands or feet. Excessive sweating can be embarrassing uncomfortable and create anxiety and social awkwardness.
How can Hyperhidrosis be treated?
Hyperhidrosis can be treated in a number of ways singly or in combination. There are clinical strength topical treatments, iontophoresis or botulinum A toxin injections. Botulinum toxin injections to the area are very effective and long lasting.
Most patients will get 4-12 months relief from excessive sweating.
How much will it cost?

What are the side-effects?
The most common side effects can be mild bruising or tenderness following treatment. These usually settle within 48 hours.
Will it be painful?
Most patients find the procedure easily tolerated but a local anaesthetic cream can be applied prior to the procedure to reduce discomfort.
