Why does Acne occur?
Acne is an inflammatory condition of the skin that effects most adolescents and can also effect adults. There is a broad range of severity. Acne can be influenced by hereditary, hormonal and environmental factors.
What treatment options do I have?
There are various treatments depending on the severity of the problem. These include diet and lifestyle modifications, topical treatments including antibiotics and Vitamin A preparations, prescription medications and light therapies.
What products should I use for acne prone skin?
There is wide range of products available for treatment of acne ranging from simple cleansers and antibacterial products e.g. benzyl peroxide to prescription products including Vitamin A and antibiotic preparations. Dr Fallon will conduct a thorough assessment and prescribe the appropriate treatment for your individual issues.
What can I do to improve my acne scars?
Acne scarring can be improved significantly by several treatment protocols depending on the extent depth and type of scarring. These include Dermapen Skin Needling, collagen stimulation, Dermal Filler, Laser treatments, and/or minor surgical options such as subscision.
